Mosques

A Mosque is a Holy sacred Place For Muslims in the world .The Founder of Islam Prophet Muhammad May Peace Be Upon Him clearly define the rules for entering and  exiting from the mosque.Mosque is used worldwide by millions of Muslims for praying,Reading Quran & Learning the Guidelines to be a Good Muslim.The Bible Book of Muslims is Quran ,and the believers of Islam follow "The Allah" (The Greatest of the Greats).An Electing Local Body in India that Adminsters and controls not only the Mosques in Delhi But all the mosques known to be exist in India & this body is said to be called "A Wakf Board" The Current Chairperson of Wakf Board is Dr Najma Heptulla.The Office of Wakf Board in Delhi is Located In Daryaganj Locality. So There are following mosques in Delhi which are as follows:-

1.Jama Masjid :-
The Largest  Mosque Among the Mosques  in Delhi as well as in India.Not do I have to tell It Again also listed in the World Heritage site.More than 2000 Muslims pray Namaz Daily the highest no of people praying namaz in delhi in this mosque,Gathering and crowding is Good.When it comes to a jama Masjid we 're very much felicitated with the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid .The Current Shahi Imam is Imam Bukhara who has a very Good & Generous way of Praying Namaz.Most of the people among the muslims who resides in Old Delhi came to see him  especially .Their Family's Ancestry &
Bloodline are coming from the period of Mughal Era.

2.Ghata Masjid :-
Located in the Daryaganj Locality today also known as the Zeenatul Masjid. Built in the walls of the shahjahanabad It was built in Memory Of the Zeenat Ul-Begum,the Daughter of the Emperor of the Aurangzeb.The British removed the Burial Place after the 1857 period before it,the Masjid had a Burial Place of Zeenat-ul-Begum,then Britishers were started using this place for several other purposes such as the Irrigation,Miliatry,Cooking etc.The road which it is situated is now called as the Ghata Masjid Road & from just straight to it is Rajghat (the Famous green ghat of Delhi)..

3. Fatehpuri Masjid:-
one of the main markets of asia called to be as the chandni chowk,This mosque is 2 km away from the Old Delhi Railway Station and 1 Km from The Model Town Clock in chandni chowk.Built in the 16th Century for  one of the wives of shahjahan named as "Fatehpuri Begum"and Taj Mahal was also named after his wife.It has been said that after the period of 1857 britishers auctioned this haveli for the amount of 19000 to Chunnamal one of the wealthiest people of old delhi after 1850's period.Also on today this haveli is well preserved in chandni chowk & it has 139 shops which as an area of 1 acre in today's market.

4. Shahi Masjid:-
Situated in front of the famous Red Fort in Old Delhi.Shahi Masjid is said to be very prosperous and dignifying during the Sultanate Period to the existing present period.people living nearby prefer this mosque for attending the namaz of eid-ul-Fitr as well as Eid-Ul-Azha.

5.Moth ki Masjid:-
situated in the Division of South  Delhi &Built during the reign of Sikander Lodi.The story behind the Construction of this mosque was the seed of the Plant of Lentil that was thrown by a bird from the upper side when Sikander Lodi visited this mosque for prayer  then sikander thought that Its better that this seed would  utilized in the service & Love for God.This mosque has a beautiful dome that are to be seen & attracts the visitors too.It is located in the south extension II locality of Delhi.

6. Jamali Kamali Mosque & Tomb:-
As the name suggests "Jamali" ,"Kamali" Jamal means beauty and kamal means perfection & completion.This mosque has been associated with these two names Jamali and Kamali.
Jamali was a famous poet and greatly regarded as considered,well Kamali was a unknown person but closely related to the antecedents of jamali and they are buried adjacent to each other in the Complex of Mehrauli  in Delhi.The people of Mehrauli loves to  visit this mosque once in a month.well if you want to visit this beautiful mosque you can board onto the qutub minaar metro station .This Mosque and tomb were also constructed during the time of Mughal Dynasty in the 1528-29.
